Can anyone tell me a good science fiction series or book to read?
I just finished The Hunger Games and am absolutely in love with it! But i need something to hold me over till the third book comes out. Ive read Abhorsen Chronicles, His Dark Materials (Golden Compass, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass), most of Garth Nix’s books, House of Night Series, A great and terrible beauty, and Tamora Pierce’s books. So besides those, any ideas?

It’s one of the first book series that I’ve ever read and it kept my interest all the way through. There isn’t much romance, and for somebody who loves romance, I was shocked at how much I loved it anyway. So yeah, definitely check out the first one at least, I highly recommend it!

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against fantasy, Abhorsen and His Dark Materials and a lot of Garth Nix are all very enjoyable, but it would help if you could just verify whether you’re actually looking for science fiction books, or whether you’re looking for fantasy.

Are the wicked being punished in hell fire now?
No. There is COMING a day when this will take place. "The Lord knoweth how to deliver he godly out of temptation, and ro reserve the unjust unto the day of judgement. To be punished." 2Peter 2:9. It is reasonable that men should not be punished BEFORE judgement.

What part of man will be cast into hell fire?
"And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched." Mark 9:43 also vs.44-48.

How long will the wicked burn?
The lake of fire into which the wicked are cast is the same fire that burns and purfies the earth. This settles the question about the fire burning for eternity, for God will create the earth anew for the redeemed. Read 2Peter 3:13; Matthew 5:5.

Since hell fire cannot be quenched does that mean the fire will always burn?
No. Anciently God said he would kindle a fire in Jerusalem "and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched." Jeremiah 17:27 rd also 2chronicles 36:19-21. Jerusalem is not burning NOW. "Unquench able" is a fire that cannot be out. Unquenchable fire always goes out when what is burning has been destroyed.

What is the meaning of everlasting fire?
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." Matthew 25:41. This doesn’t say that the wicked are everlasting nor that the fire will burn throughout eternity. Jude says "even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." Verse 7.

What is the meaning of forever in these texts?
Read matthew 10:28; Revelation 20:14
HOW LONG IS FOREVER? Forever in the Bible is repeatedly applied to a limited time rather than an indefinite period of time.
A. Philemon 15 tells us Onesimus was received by Philemon forever; but when he died he could no longer be his servant.

B. Deuteronomy 15:17 speaks of a sercant serving his master forever; but this forever closed with the death of the servant.

C. 1Chronicles 28:4 says David eas to be king forever and yet he ruled only 40 years.(Until he died)

D. Jonah 2:6 tells of Jonah’s experiewnce in the belly of the fish and Jonah says he was there forever; but Jesus said he was in the fish three days and nights. Matthew 12:39,40.

HELL IS REAL. The fires have not yet started. The wicked shall be burned, but not eternally as some have misinterpreted.. After the wicked burn. God shall create the earth brand new for us to inhabit.

Can i turn my old compaq into a gaming computer?
I have an old compaq presario, im not sure what the memory is i think it was like 520mb and the hard drive was like 100gb, graphics card was the nVidia g-force (yes it says g-force on it) 2. and yeah, intel pentium 2. i want to take out everything, motherboard and all, any ideas ;D

If your purpose is to use the case, then you have to check to see if the original mother board is not custom designed. Some companies make or manufacture or contract third party to custom size their boards to fit a certain design. If you can find a commercially made mother board which will fit your current Presario case, then by all means. Make sure all the screw holes matches as well.

Another area to worry about is the power supply. Make sure what you will purchase will fit in it.

Next would be the location of the CPU fan. If the current old unit has one of those fan tubes, make sure it fits your new board as well or buy one that fits. You may have to custom built one if you are handy with sheet metal. You need to a good cooling system if you want to build a good gaming computer.

Finally, you also have to worry where the additional cards (like video and sound and NIC) would fit. It may not have the slots (or cut out holes) for them. Your old nVidia video card many not have enough memory or GPU speed to play the latest games though.

As mentioned, it may be more trouble than it is worth. Good luck and hope this helps.

One thin i definitely need help on is a hook

The Chocolate War is a great book. Robert Cormier; an excellent author writes this book. It is about a freshmen kid named Jerry Renault who refuses to sell chocolates for his school. This upsets many of his teachers and fellow students including his best friend Goober. Robert uses many similes and metaphors in his book. He uses these to make comparisons that help the reader understand how things are by comparing them to something else.

During the process of the post-crash discussion, the attorney accidentally drops the papers he needs to present in court. The judge gives him until the end of the day to present the papers and thus begins a cat and mouse game between the proponents. A few questionable actions later on both parties’ part, they finally start questioning their actions and their lives. How do I defeat an unjust ticket for changing lanes without signaling?
I’m in Tennessee.
I was given a ticket by a cop who clearly wanted only to write a ticket. A van pulled in front of me and for a mile he was speeding up, slowing down, slamming the brakes, and swerving OFF THE ROAD then jerking back on. I didn’t feel safe behind this driver so I waited until it was safe to do so and was in the passing zone and went around him. It was heading into a small speed trap town, and I never went over the speed limit of 35. An unmarked car ( it was dark, I didn’t know it was a cop ) rammed behind me – rammed, as in, his push bumper touched my bumper. When I didn’t speed up he put his lights on. I pulled over. He asked for my license and reg. so I gave him my license and I said the registration is in the glove box and when I went to reach for it he said, "that’s OK, don’t worry about it," and went back to his tyranny mobile. He came back and said I was speeding, I told him I wasn’t speeding; he told me I was weaving, I told him I wasn’t weaving I was passing a possibly drunk driver. He told me I didn’t have my turn signal on. I said I don’t remember. He wrote down that I passed without signaling and I said, "….for not using a turn signal?" He gave me attitude and threatened to write me up for another 100 for not having my registration. I told him I had it but it was in the glove box. He said whatever, you can contest it in court Febuary 15th, then threatened me he’d write me up if I gave him any, "lip." I said whatever. This little piggy walked all the way back to his car.
The ticket is for 95 dollars and he lied to me about the court date – I checked the print and it said March 15th. Maybe he made a mistake, but he was clearly just trying to write me for something. He couldn’t drum up a speeding or reckless charge and purposefully didn’t take my registration so he could try to threaten me with it. I ain’t standing for this.
I just want to know do I have a chance to win? Has anybody beat a b.s. charge before? What defense did you use? Can I sue? I don’t want to win, I just want to cause trouble for them for their mafioso type highway robbery tactics.

Please, no opie griffith, "you should just bow to the officer," crap. They’re wrong, I’m right, I ain’t letting them steal my hard-earned money. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. In the words of GG Allin: F*** the law.

ok, so there was this boy i really liked, and we got to know eachother more and he asked me out after a football game. I was so sur he still liked his ex, buy apparently not, so i said yes. a week went by and he called me and said "lilly, i thought about it all yester day and i feel that i can say this and Actually mean it….I love you"…..(awkward silence)…. i said "thank you, but im not totally sure yet, but i really super dooper like you!!" he was fine with that, he just wanted me to know how he felt. A week went by and we hung out dates etc. and then i invited him to go on a day trip to Atlanta with me, my parents, my sister, and one of my sisters friends. My parents let us walk around (btw we are 14 and both hav the same bday) alone, and he kept being real touchy like always grabbing my waist. We had fun none the less, but i got the feeling he was kindof selfish… Anywhoo, we were sitting together in the backseat on the way home and it was dark, the 2 girls were watching a movie and parents driving. I had my pillow in his lap and was half asleep and i felt him kiss my cheek…..i wasnt really even ready for that but it didnt bother me….but then when i woke up i sat up and all of a sudden he crushed his lips to mine for like 2 sec and then he just looked away. I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT and i told him so. I asked him not to tell anyone bc that was my first kiss and i wanted no one to know but me and him(for some reason deep down i felt ashamed for the kiss????hmmm) he promised and it was done and didnt happen again. Then, my family let him come for dinner for Christmas soon after, and i spent 65 dollars getting him something he TOLD me to get him… he said"lilly get me a _____ for Christmas ok??"" I didnt think anything of his dominating nature and control issues. Then he went too far. That night when he opened it he said it was the wrong size….then he asked my mom to take it back and get the right size. She said he could get his mom to do it. I had also handmade him a necklace thing and he mad me fix it for 30 min b4 he left……
I spent my money to get him something and my time to make him something and he got his mom to get me whatever so he didnt have to fool with it, and then had the nerve…..ughhh I broke up with him soon after, he hung up in my face and is now just every other day bugging me about it. I told him he needs to get the fact that i am his friend nothing more. After the breakup he trashed me and said all i got him for Christmas was a _____……It really made me mad, but he just wont get over me still and im ready to move on…..our breakup has lasted longer than our relation ship….

Usual Suspects, The (1995)

Plot: After a waterfront explosion, Verbal (Kevin Spacey), an eye-witness and participant tells the story of events leading up to the conflagration. The story begins when five men are rounded up for a line-up, and grilled about a truck hijacking (the usual suspects). Least pleased is Keaton (Gabriel Byrne) a crooked cop – exposed, indicted, but now desperately trying to go straight. The cops won’t leave him alone, however, and as they wait for their lawyers to post bail, he is talked into doing one more job with the other four. All goes tolerably well until the influence of the legendary, seemingly omnipotent “Keyser Soze” is felt. Although set in the modern day, it has much of the texture of the forties, plus suspense, intrigue (a fairly high body count), and lots of twists in the plot.

Do we pick someone random to convict for a crime if we can't find a likely suspect?
When we have no idea who is responsible for a crime, is it usual for us to simply choose someone at random and blame the whole thing on them and stop investigating?

If it’s not, why do so many theists seem to think it’s either logical or desirable to take every question of life we do not know the answer to, insist we simply lay responsibility for it at the feet of whoever they happen to like, and stop investigating the matter as if it has been solved?

The fifteen promises of Mary to Christians who recite the rosary:
